Just got my new i phone yesterday and wanted to to check out soem games. Just had a few questions. Where would I get the games? Are they in the ap store? Anyone got any favorites? Are they easy to download? Thanks so much for the help. Its been interesting learning how to use the phone. I have never had any smart phone before.

You'll find lots of games in the app store. Some of my favorites are 7 Little Words, WordZinga, and Accessible Fruitmachine. Have fun!

Yes, applevis.com is a great resource for accessible IOS games. You type in the one that interests you in the search tab by opening the app store from the home screen.

I love them to, thanks for the info, I will check it out to. I have hang man but you have to lookfor a certain one in order for it to work well with voice over. I don't remember witch one but maybe someone will post that info for me.

On the accessible games board there's a topic called accessible iPhone games. I started it and it has a lot more replies than this one. Just posting it here because it may help you. Good luck if I can help please let me know! :)

I just got shut the box today. It seems to work well with voice over, but for some reason I can't roll the dice. It says swipe left to roll dice and I think I'm doing that but doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone else have that problem?

I like 7 little words, word warp and accessible fruit machine. I've heard shut the box is good so going to try it.

Another good one is touch target. It is completely accessible with voiceover. I found sense I got the game, I deleted all the other word games. Best 99 cents I spent.

Papa Sangre, the Night Jar and Soul Trapper are halfway decent as well. I'm sure at least two of them have been mentioned in other topics at some point.
Papa Sangre and The Nightjar are pretty much the same type of game. Navigate by tapping left-right-left-right (for footsteps) and swiping left or right to turn left or right respectively; follow from objective A to objective B, and so on, till you finish. Papa is harder by a fair bit, but neither is particularly difficult. Papa, in particular, has some semi-graphic sound effects if you die.
Soul Trapper, however, is another matter. It's basically a story and an interactive audio drama. The only downside is that it was done back in 2009 or so, and its voice-over support isn't wonderful. Voice-over can see the buttons but they aren't always labeled properly. Sometimes they are and sometimes they're not. The true issue, however, comes in reaction speed; sometimes you have to hit a button fast, and voice-over doesn't always give you the info to do so. There are twenty-three chapters (about four hours of gameplay) to this one, and in chapter eighteen there's a part I myself, as a totally blind user, can't get past; I've heard it's been done, but I haven't yet found a way. Anyone who's played the game will know what I'm talking about. Suffice to say that the rest of the game is, while at times a bit frustrating, uite playable.

Seven little words is seriously addictive!
